As some of you may know, or may not as expressing myself may not be my strongest suit, a dear friend of mine is at the end of her life and will pass away any day now. Norine Perreault, pictured below, was the first good friend I met when moving to NYC from California over 8 years ago. Norine & I had an instant connection (felt like we’d been friends forever) and over the past 8 years have had countless laughs and memorable times spent together. Fortunately, Norine has had a beautiful and full life, and when I think of all she’s done, it makes me feel a bit better about saying good bye to such a dear friend. For those of you who dont know Norine, she was a young model in Paris is the 50’s (when modeling was a small and still fairly unknown profession). She later opened her own modeling agency in Canada, where she is originally from, as well as began doing her own photography. She then moved to NYC where she raised, often on her own, 4 amazing kids (all grown now), and worked in the fashion world as a fashion photographer. I hate to label her as a “fashion photographer” as she was that and so much more… Each of her photos has an ethereal, enchanting quality to them, which is seen in all of the work she’s done. She herself possessed this magnetism, and has touched mine, and so many hearts, with her infectious passion for life.
Norine always had such a love for flowers, and while thinking how to express my feelings during this time, all I can visualize to express my emotions, my gratitude toward her, and the way I see and think of her, is through flowers…

2 of my very favorite photos taken by Norine… Just stunning…!
So for Norine, I send you all the flowers in the world… <3 <3 <3
