Incredible Lillian Bassman photograph titled: “Night Bloom, Givenchy by John Galliano, NYT Magazine”. It seems out of a dream and I would love this piece hung in a woman’s walk-in dressing room, or as an axis at the end of a long hall to add drama and a romantic feel to a space. Photo via 1stdibs.com
Rina Banerjee’s “Take me, take me, to the palace of love” is an whimsical & unexpected feast for the eye. Im still thinking of where to put this in an interior and will have to get back to you on that… : ) Photo via 1stdibs.com
Danny Ho Fong creates incredible rattan & brass furniture and these barstools are no exception…Personally I believe these chairs are very versatile and would look amazing in a 70’s-inspired collector’s home, amongst Matisse odalisque paintings, a fun, deep-pile shag area rug, and lots of glass shelving showcasing a colorful Murino glass collection…
I really love the lines and curves on this pair of sculpted Rococo armchairs inspired by Majorelle. There’s something very fun and whimsical about them. I’d reuphoster them in a bright thin vertical stripe so they look a bit lighter then pictured above. I’d love them in a master suite or in a moody sitting room near a Steinway piano, as the black lacquer arms remind me of rhythmic music notes… Photo via 1st dibs.
I am in love with all furniture designed by the Swedish designer Carl Malmsten! 1st Dibs has a good selection of Malmsten’s lovely mid-century furniture designs and I especially love the Rococo-esque curved back and fun turned arms on this settee and matching lounge chairs. I would love this furniture suite in my future living room, just yummy…Photo via 1st Dibs.
Another lovely settee designed by Carl Malmsten that I’m coveting. But this one will go in my future period room next to my collection of Greek busts, old books & Empire-style furnishings with gilt bronze details, etc etc : ) … Photo via 1stdibs.
Aren’t these bronze Marc Bankowsky sconces incredible?! I absolutely love them and really resonate with the organic shape. They’d glam up any space, and would cast such lovely shadows on the walls around them… Photo via 1st Dibs.
I thought this pair of vintage ceramic lamps were really fun and would add a nice pop of color to a home office or family room. Photo via 1st Dibs.
I love this desk and want it for my home office asap! Or I could see designing a whole room around the color palette of this Louis XV gilt bronze & emerald lacquered writing desk…It’s such a striking piece. Photo via 1st Dibs.
